Posted on: 12 April 2016 girls birthday parties

As you Mum’s all know birthday parties are a very important part of a young girls year, they have attended all their friends parties and are now waiting for their big day. Both you and she want the day to go with a swing and be extra special. There are so many themes you can do but here at The Sparkle Club we love  Princesses and Fairies with lots of sparkle! We have gathered together some ideas for Princess and Fairy parties and would love to hear from you about yours, pictures would be even better. First of all Princesses….

Princess Themed Party Ideas

Does your Princess have a favourite or does she love them all? Pick the colours of her favourite one or the colours of the dress she will be wearing and run this colour throughout the party. If there are boys coming then how about Princesses and Pirates?

Entertainment

Depending on your budget you can get grown up princesses to come there are lots all over the country, for example in Kent, Children’s Party Mascots. Otherwise ask a friend to dress up as your daughters favourite and join in the entertainment. How about face painting always a good one especially with sparkle and gems they may never wash again. If you are in the garden then a pink bouncy castle.

Games

Tiara or crown decorating, get card ones to make your self, very reasonable on Amazon or in craft shops. A take on pin the tale on the donkey, large picture a of a Princess and some small crowns – the one nearest her head wins! And of course the usual dancing games such as musical thrones!

Going home

Pretty party bags decorated with tiaras, filled with colourful marshmallows, their very own tiara and a fluffy crown pen what more could a Princess want?

Fairy Themed Parties

A beautiful party preferably held in the garden but if not possible re-created in the house. If there are boys they could be Elves! Perhaps a sign saying ‘Welcome to the Enchanted Garden’ or arrows ‘Fairies and Elves this way’. A toadstool hidden were the fairies gather at night and flowers sprinkled around it. Hang things in trees such as colourful bags of sweets or fairy dust, they can be taken home at the end of the day. The list is endless and our imaginations are running riot we love fairies so much.

Invites

An idea for fairy invitations is to take a rectangular piece of paper (so that the long side is horizontal to you) and fold in both of the sides to the middle so it looks like a gate. On the outside write something like: “Take a peek through the garden gate” or “I believe in fairies”. Then on the inside put lots of fairy and butterfly stickers peeking out through holes you’ve cut in the gate itself. Address to Fairy ….. (name of guest) and maybe include an inexpensive wand.

Food

Decorate tables with net and chiffon to give the impression of a tutu. How about fairy cakes or buns decorated with red icing and white spots – just like a toadstool. Cheese and cherry tomatoes on sticks – more toadstools. Melon cut out to look like a flower with a grape as the centre. A lettuce leaf with summer fruits in the middle. Again the list is endless and the imagination can run riot anything goes with fairies.

Games

All the usual can be easily adapted – Pass the Parcel wrapped in fairy tissue with fairy dust between each sheet and a sparkly fairy as the present – Sleeping Fairies cut out large circles from red card and paint white spots on, sleeping amongst the toadstools walk round trying to wake them up by tickling talking and so on, if they move they are out. Treasure Hunt in the garden looking for lots of fairy clues.

Then what about this idea save milk cartons to make fairy houses!
